Latte art is an important skill for baristas who want to impress their customers and stand out in the competitive coffee industry. A latte art course can help baristas improve their skills and learn new techniques to create beautiful latte designs. In this article, we will discuss a two-level latte art course, including an overview of the course and a program and handbook for each level.

Overview: The two-level latte art course is designed to provide baristas with a comprehensive understanding of latte art and the techniques needed to create beautiful designs. The course is suitable for both beginners and experienced baristas who want to improve their latte art skills. Level one is designed for beginners, while level two is designed for advanced baristas.

The certification program includes:

Level 1: Essential

Program:

  • Introduction to latte art

  • Milk texturing techniques

  • Basic latte art designs: heart, tulip, and rosetta

  • Pouring techniques and patterns

  • 90% Practice sessions

Level 2: Advanced

Program:

  • Advanced latte art designs: swan, phoenix, and dragon, inverter, etc

  • Layering and stacking techniques

  • Etching and detailing techniques

  • Competition preparation and practice

  • 100% Practice sessions

 

Skills to achieve:

Level Essential:

  • Introduction to latte art and its importance in the coffee industry

  • Milk texturing techniques, including the importance of milk temperature and texture

  • Basic latte art designs: heart, tulip, and rosetta, including techniques for creating each design

  • Pouring techniques and patterns, including free pour and etching

  • Practice sessions and feedback, including tips for improving latte art skills

Level Advanced:

  • Advanced latte art designs: swan, phoenix, and dragon, including techniques for creating each design

  • Layering and stacking techniques, including creating depth and texture in latte art designs

  • Etching and detailing techniques, including using different tools and materials for etching

  • Creating latte art menus, including developing a range of designs for customers

  • Competition preparation and practice, including tips for competing in latte art competitions
